KARACHI, Sept 18: MQM chief Altaf Hussain has asked the president and the prime minister to take immediate notice of conspiracies being hatched against the Muttahida.

Speaking to party workers on phone at Nine-Zero on Thursday and Friday, he demanded steps to thwart the underworld's moves against the party which, he said, was out to cause harm to the party.

He asked the party workers to remain vigilant against such forces and said that a many times in the past religious and political parties had been used in such conspiracies against the MQM.

Mr Hussain warned the underworld to desist from such conspiracies and called upon his party cadre to be mentally and physically prepared to foil such conspiracies.
