ISLAMABAD, Oct 29: Federal Minister for Labour Omar Asghar Khan has said the government will arrest those involved in the Bahawalpur incident, in which 16 innocent people were killed during the Sunday service.

In a statement issued on Monday the minister said the government would ensure the security of the minorities and steps would be taken for their protection.

He asked members of the Christian community to remain peaceful and help the government combat terrorism.

Mr Khan condemned the brutal act and expressed profound sorrow over the deaths of 16 innocent worshippers in the main church of Model Town, Bahawalpur.

He asked the Christian community to remain peaceful and join hands with government to combat terrorism in the country which had caused the death of many innocent persons in the past also.
