HARIPUR, July 24: The PML-N central command and leaders belonging to provincial cadres are scheduled to arrive here on Sunday where they, according to party sources, would address a public meeting the same evening.

The party has decided to mark the day of detention of PML-N workers on the occasion of the arrival of Shahbaz Sharif in April as Yaum-i- Aseeran-i-Jamhooriat, the sources said.

More than 100 workers of the party from Haripur had been arrested by Rawalpindi police on their way to Lahore Airport to receive the PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif. Caseswere registered against them under 16 MPO and explosive act.

The PML-N leaders expected that the meeting would be attended by Raja Zafarul Haq, MNA Memoona Hashmi, MNA Tehmina Daultana, Senator Ishaq Dar, Senator Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi, MNA Khwaja Saad Rafiq, MNA Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Saranjam Khan, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and Sahibzada Pir Sabir Shah.
