NAUSHERO FEROZE, July 22: The medical superintendent of the civil hospital, Naushero Feroze, Dr Ghulam Rasool Almani has said that the hospital is facing problems due to inadequate supply of drugs.

Talking to this correspondent on Wednesday, he said the hospital was provided medicines of Rs1.366 million against its requirement of Rs2.965 million.

He said he had sent letters to the EDO health for providing medicines of remaining amount of Rs1.6 million but in vain.

Mr Almani said the budget for anti-rabies injections for the year 2003-04 was Rs750,000 but the EDO provided injections costing Rs235,000.

He said the allocations were not sufficient to meet the requirement of hospital as the number of outdoor patients had increased upto 1,600.

Dr Almani said from Rs750,000 for anti-rabies injections, only 1,000 vials could be purchased from it at the rate of Rs750 per injection.

He said Rs263,000 were sanctioned for X-ray films but the EDO health had provided films of Rs165,000 only.
