KARACHI, June 27: Moin Fudda, the Managing Director of Karachi Stock Exchange, congratulated Mr Shaukat Aziz on Sunday for his nomination as the prime minister of Pakistan , saying that under his 'able stewardship' national economy had developed from the depth of despair of 1999 to its current robust growth.

Mr Fudda said that Mr Aziz had played an important role in efforts made to implement President Musharaf's economic agenda unveiled in December 1999.

He said that Mr Aziz had always been 'extremely supportive' of Pakistan's capital market and added that the business community expected 'more of the same' from him during his tenure as prime minister.
