QUETTA, June 19: Over a dozen rockets were fired in Sui township area of Dera Bugti district on Saturday, wounding a security man, official sources said.

"At least 15 rockets exploded in different areas of Sui gas field in the early hours," FC officials confirmed and added that one FC personnel wounded in attack.

Reports reaching here said that some unidentified men fired rockets from different directions with brief interval targeting the FC check- posts guarding the gas wells and other installations connecting the wells with main purification plant in Sui.

"Target was missed and rockets exploded in the open place," sources said and added that the FC man received injuries as he was out side of the check post. The injured was shifted to CMH Quetta.

Unknown miscreant disappeared from the scene when FC personnel also took position and returned fire.

The rocket attacks have been increased in Sui gas field area of Dera Bugti for the last two months. Only in May around 140 rockets were fired in different areas of Sui tehsil while in June so far 70 rockets were fired.
