KARACHI, May 1: The Dow University of Health Sciences has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a pharma firm for setting up of an inter-hospital conferencing system at the varsity.

According to the MOU, the firm will provide facilities to telecast internet video-conference from the DUHS auditorium to five hospitals of Karachi, which are the Lyari General Hospital and Qatar Hospital, besides Sindh Government hospitals at Saudabad, Korangi and New Karachi.

Twenty lectures on different aspects of health have been scheduled for internet video-conferencing, which will be delivered by DUHS experts to family physicians. The programme is estimated to benefit about 50 physicians at each of the above hospitals. The MOU, which is initially for two years, would be reviewed after 20 video-conferences for improvement or re-designing, if needed, and the doctors would also be given awards on excellent presentation, it was learnt.-PPI
