HYDERABAD, April 24: The Primary Education Alliance has appealed to the Sindh governor and chief minister to appoint gazetted officers as ADOs in the education department of Dadu district and order an inquiry through some honest officials in the incident of attack on teachers in Kotri.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Saturday, the leaders of the alliance, Ismail Laghari, Rustam Abbasi, Ghulam Mustafa Jaiser and Fida Soomro said that on April 19 a clash took place between Anwar Khoso and Irshad Brohi in the office of the ADO Kotri over taking charge of the ADO.

The chairman of the alliance, Ismail Laghari said that Irshad Brohi had barged into EDO's office with 25 armed persons and asked Mr Khoso to leave the charge.

Anwar Khoso told Mr Brohi that his order issued by EDO education Dadu as the ADO had been cancelled by the District Nazim.

He said this resulted in a clash and the intruders attacked Anwar Khoso as well as other teachers including he himself (Ismail Laghari) who were present in the office.

Mr Laghari said that the police was informed but it turned up after one hour. He said thereafter the schools were also closed in protest and the teacher also staged protest demonstrations for three days.

They said that the EDO education Dadu was the root cause of trouble. They also accused the EDO of corruption and demanded that he should be placed under suspension and gazetted officers should be appointed throughout the district as ADOs.
