ISLAMABAD, June 1: The finance ministry has been asked to sanction Rs94 million supplementary grant for the installation of 100 additional seats in the national assembly hall well before the start of next financial year.

Official sources told Dawn that on the directives of the chief executive, interior division has asked the finance divisions for an amount of Rs94 million for the installation of seats and renovation of parliament house.

The interior division had submitted a summary to the secretary finance requesting the amount as supplementary grant to enable CDA to complete the project by Oct 10. The chief executive secretariat has asked the planning and development division to allocate the amount.
