KASUR, April 3: Justice H.R. Malhotra of the Delhi High Court said on Saturday that a relaxed visa policy between Pakistan and India would also boost up economic condition of both the countries.

He was speaking at reception hosted in his honour by the Kasur Bar Association here on Saturday.

Justice Khwaja Muhammad Sharif of the Lahore High Court, Kasur District and Sessions Judge Rauf Ahmad Sheikh, senior civil judge, MPAs Muzaffar Kazmi, Malik Mohammad Ahmad Saeed, Malik Ahmad Ahmad Khan, DBA office-bearers, DCO Hashim Tareen, Tehsil Nazim Malik Rasheed Khan and a large number of lawyers attended the reception.

Justice Malhotra said that he had deep attachment with Kasur because he spent his early childhood here.

Earlier, Justice Malhotra visited his birth place at Kot Rukan Din Khan, where residents warmly welcomed him. Senior people told Justice Malhotra that his father Kashi Ram was the chairman of the Kasur municipality. Kashi Ram also executed some welfare projects for the area.

Justice Malhotra also visited the shrine of Hazrat Baba Bulhey Shah and the office of district Nazim Rana Imtiaz Ahmad Khan.

FOUND DEAD: A seven-year-old girl, who had been missing since March 30, was found dead from the drain near the Girls Degree College on Saturday.

Darakhshan had gone out of her house in Kot Maulvi Abdul Qadir for playing with her age-mates on the afternoon of March 30 and did not return. Nisar Mughal searched for his daughter with the help of other family members but could not find her.

Some passers-by spotted a bag in the drain and informed City A division police who opened it and found the body of a girl.

The police called Nisar Mughal who identified his daughter.

The body was sent to the Kasur DHQ Hospital where the woman medical officer was not available. Later, the body was taken to the Pattoki THQ Hospital for autopsy.
