ISLAMABAD, April 3: The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui will take up the appeal of National Accountability Bureau against the acquittal of sitting federal minister, Aftab Khan Sherpao, on Thursday.

According to cause list issued on Friday, the appeals of Aftab Sherpao, and Zahir Shah, Director General of PDA, would be taken up on Thursday.

Aftab Sherpao was acquitted by an appellate bench of the Peshawar High Court in July last year, along with director general Peshawar Development Authority Zahir Shah.

The NAB had approached the SC through Prosecutor General Accountability, seeking revival of Accountability Court Peshawar decision in which former NWFP chief minister and Director-General PDA were convicted for illegally allotting official land at posh Hayatabad township here.
