ISLAMABAD, April 2: The Food Court just the outside the main Jinnah Stadium that staged the opening ceremony of the SAF Games on Monday, has become a busy place after a quiet first two days.
Although the prices of food, a whole variety of which is available, are on the higher side the spectators and foreign visitors, including athletes, officials and journalists, do not seem to mind.
"Yes the food is expensive but then you have to keep in mind that these stalls have been especially set up for the duration of the Games, so those who are running them have only a limited time to do business," said Syed Pervaiz Qaiser, an Indian journalist who is here to cover the Games.
"Prices are high but the quality of food is good, my kids and I had a good time," said Mrs Saadia Haseeb who came down to watch the Games.
Everything is conveniently available at the stalls - from burgers to sandwiches and from dhai bhallas to chicken tikka and seekh kebabs. So when your stomach churns with hunger, it is time to walk down to the food court.
Though it is not just food that you get there. There are garments and other merchandise on sale. And there's music too. So while you eat or shop, your trip to the court is certain to be a pleasurable one.
