HYDERABAD, March 20: A women mela will be organized at the Dialdas club on the occassion of World Women's Day on March 27. This was decided in a meeting on Saturday with EDO community development Ibrahim Qureshi in the chair.

Chairperson women development committee district council Saira Naseer, Dr Naseem and Dr Shireen of the district health department and lady social welfare officers attended the meeting and discussed the arrangements of the mela.

It was decided that different stalls will be installed to project women-oriented handicrafts, hold health education function and promote women-based cultural activities in the mela.

It was also decided that three best stalls would be awarded prizes to encourage the participants.

The events of puppet show, magic show and musical concert will also be organised to make the event a success.

ACCREDITION: The regional accreditation committee held a meeting on Saturday with regional director, information, Dur Mohammad Kamal in the chair.

Hyderabad Press Club Secretary Junaid Khanzada, Editor Safeer Ali Hassan, Editor Mehran Faqir Manthar Mangrio, Editor Sham Naz Sehto, Editor Sindhu Khalid Khokhar, Editor Halchal Mahesh Kumar, Bureau Chief NNI Abdul Hafeez Abid, Bureau Chief Nawa-i-Waqt Usman Ajmeri and Ali Wahid attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed the matters pertaining to the issuance of accreditation cards to the journalists in detail.

It expressed satisfaction over the decision of the Sindh accreditation committee for restoring previous policy to issue the cards to journalists on the recommendation of editors concerned.

Mr Kamal assured the committee that accreditation cards would be issued only to those journalists who qualified the criteria.

All the journalists of Hyderabad were advised to contact the information accreditation committee for issuance of cards.
