KARACHI, Feb 27: Major portions of North Nazimabad's L and H blocks have been experiencing acute water shortage for the last one week. According to the residents of the affected localities , a large number of houses, situated between Taimuria Library and Taimuria police station (from Street No 1 to 10), and those residing in the apartment building 'United Centre' are almost without water for the last seven days.

They deplored that despite the lodging of a number of complaints with the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board officials concerned, the situation could not be rectified so far.

They demanded of the KWSB managing-director and chief engineer to direct the officials to immediately restore the normal water supply to the area, or the shortage would keep on hitting the area even on Ashura.
