LAHORE: IT park planned in Lahore

LAHORE, Feb 21: Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has said that the City District Government will set up an information technology park in the city in collaboration with the private sector.

Presiding over a meeting here on Saturday, he said a variety of software and computer products available in the country would be put on display at the proposed Park.

He said Lahore had been declared an e-district and the CDG was making efforts for the promotion of information technology, including allotment of plots on soft terms and substantial concession in charges of commercialization of residential plots.

Mian Amer said the CDG had decided to provide computers to all 150 union councils in the city district for linking them to the CDG management information system in collaboration with the NADRA Computer training had also been given to more than 3,000 teachers of government schools in the city district.
