HYDERABAD: SU senate members elected

HYDERABAD, Feb 14: The Sindh University registrar on Friday notified the names of candidates who were elected unopposed as members of the Sindh University senate on teachers seats up to Sept 30, 2006.

They included associate professor Anwar Ali Shah of the department of zoology, assistant professors, Ghulam Shabir Sheikh (department of public management sciences), Imtiaz Pirzado (department of economics), Jawed Chandio (department of commerce), Khalida Faryal (Institute of Pharmacy), Shafique Qureshi (Dr M A Kazi Institute of Chemistry), Shahid Larik (Institute of Information Technology), Ali Nawaz Shah (department of Statistics) and Zahid Kazi (Institute of Business Administration).

For three seats of lecturers, Mustafa Shoro (Institute of Information Technology), Kiran Sami (department of political science) and Sattar Shah (Institute of Business Administration) are elected unopposed as member of the senate.

TRAINING COURSE: The Pakistan Study Center, University of Sindh is organizing a training course of internship/workshop on "how to become a practising accountant" on Feb 16, 2004.

Dr Anwar Ali Shah, dean faculty of commerce and business administration will preside over inaugural session while Prof Ferozuddin Kazi, director, IBA will be the chief guest.
