PESHAWAR: Officers promoted

PESHAWAR, Feb 14: The NWFP school and literacy department has promoted 176 officers and posted them against various positions in the province.

According to a handout issued here on Saturday, the department concerned, in consultation with the Provincial Selection Board (PSB), has promoted 176 officers from BS-17 to the existing posts of BS-18 on a regular basis with immediate effect.

However, of the 176 officers, the promotion of first 149 will be on probation for a period of one year, the handout said.

Similarly, 86 male officers of the School Administration branch have been promoted from BPS-18 to BPS-19 on a regular basis from Dec 26, 2003, and adjusted against certain vacant positions of BPS-19 in the province.

All these 86 officers will be on probation for a period of one year, the NWFP government notification said.
