PESHAWAR Feb 5: The Jamaat-i-Islami, NWFP chapter, will hold protest demonstrations across the province and the adjacent tribal areas on Friday to condemn detention and character assassination of the nuclear scientists.

Speaking at a press conference here at the Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, the MMA president, district Peshawar, Hakeem Abdul Waheed said that a big rally would be held in Peshawar on Friday to protest against the government policy against the country's nuclear programme.

He said the MMA central leader Qazi Hussain Ahmad would address a rally at Qissakhwani Bazaar, Peshawar. He said that JI strongly condemned media trial of national heroes and alleged the government had forced Dr Abdul Qadir to read out a mock confessional statement on electronic media.

He said that Qazi Hussain Ahmad in his speech would inform the masses regarding the real situation. He said the government was misguiding the people. He said debriefing was nothing but to insult the assets of the nation.
