Altaf urges sacrifice for rights

Published February 5, 2004

KARACHI, Feb 4: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that the struggle for a just system and people's rights require devotion and sacrifices.

Speaking to the members of the MQM Coordination Committee, provincial ministers, advisers, MNAs and MPAs and other section heads of the party on phone at Nine Zero, Azizabad, he pointed out that in a class-based society the guardians of oppressive system had become powerful, who used power and pelf and other resources to block the struggle for a just order in the country.

He said Eidul Azha was a message that a righteous struggle demanded commitment and sacrifices from those involved in it.

Mr Hussain directed the MQM ministers, advisors and legislators to pay full attention to the resolution of people's problems and serve the suffering humanity selflessly.
