KARACHI: Two die in accidents

KARACHI, Jan 10: A man and an elderly woman died in different road accidents on Saturday. Police said a van on the National Highway in the Shah Latif Town police limits collided with a car. As a result, three occupants of the car were injured. They were later identified as Feroz, Abdul Hakeem and Aslam. They were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where Feroz was pronounced dead on arrival.

In another accident, near Mereweather Tower on M.A. Jinnah Road, a bus of route 2-K hit an elderly woman and her granddaughter. The woman identified as Akbari Khatoon, aged 80, died on the spot. Her granddaughter Rabia was shifted to the Civil Hospital.
