KARACHI, Jan 3: To arrange transport facilities for those affectees of Lyari Expressway project, who have started arriving at Taisar Town, under the second phase of their resettlement , the Project Director, Shafiqur Rehman Paracha, on Saturday held a meeting with transporters.

The meeting was attended by Karachi Transport Ittehad President Irshad Hussain Bukhari and its General Secretary Khalid Hussain Awan, besides the project officials.

The transporters assured Mr Paracha of their cooperation in providing transport facilities to Taisar Town resettlers.

The meeting was informed that at the Hawkesbay resettlement site, buses of various routes were available, which included Shiraz Coaches and 1-C route buses.

As compared to the number of buses, plying on the route prior to resettlement process, the number had increased considerably, while in Taisar Town, at present, buses of D-17 and 4-S routes were available, the meeting was informed. It was decided that transport facilities for Hawkesbay and Taisar Town projects' residents would be further increased and more buses of different routes would be operated for the two sites.-APP
