Asad slams century

KARACHI, April 24: A fine century by Asad Shafiq inspired Hamdam CC to a 71-run victory over Khatri Sports in the KCCA Centenary Inter-club cricket tournament on Saturday. Asad scored 105, which was laced with 12 boundaries, as Hamdam CC made 234 for four in their 40 overs at the Student Sports Ground. Asim Akhtar contributed 66 with the aid of six fours.

Khatri Sports were dismissed for 163 in reply.

In other matches Shaheen Gymkhana Colts defeated Golden Gymkhana by nine wickets at the Shadab Sports Ground, Ravi Gymkhana beat Nazimabad Gymkhana ‘B’ by the same margin at the New United Ground and Comrade Sports got the better of Landhi Gymkhana by 61 runs at the Landhi Friends Ground.
