GILGIT, April 21: Masked men blocked a part of the Karakoram Highway and robbed passengers of a Rawalpindi-bound bus, near Sagachal, about 75km south of here, police sources said. The sources said the dacoits looted Rs91,900 at gunpoint from 13 passengers. They killed a jawan of the army, Alamgeer Hussain, resident of Sakwar, Gilgit, who confronted the robbers and tried to help the passengers.

TWO DETAINED: Police have arrested two suspects in a bomb blast case. A low intensity bomb went off in a mosque recently in upper Naltar village of Gilgit district.

The police said that Imdad Ali and Imtiaz, residents of the lower Naltar, were arrested following statements of injured persons in an FIR.

Irshad, Ashraf and Shah Alam were wounded in the blast.
