KOHAT, April 17: Former NWFP governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah is to take up his new assignment as Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkey by the end of the current month, family sources said on Sunday. The Foreign Office had briefed him on his next assignment on April 12 and 13, but owing to the absence of the foreign secretary, the notification about his posting has been delayed.

The former governor paid a farewell visit to the Kohat University of Science and Technology where he was invited as guest of honour at the concluding ceremony of a three-day seminar on emerging sciences and an exhibition.
