MIRPURKHAS, April 17: A new farmers’ organization – Sindh Progressive Agriculture Growers Association — has been formed at a meeting of farmers from across the province to ensure fair distribution of water and provide equal opportunity to utilize modern technology. Speaking at a press conference at the press club here on Saturday, the convener of the meeting, Abdul Rehman Sarhandi, said that measures would be taken to ensure good relations between peasants and landowners.

He said that the association would strive to mobilize the agriculture extension department to provide loans on easy instalments.
