National baseball contest

KARACHI, April 14: National Baseball Championship will commence from April 22 in Karachi in which teams from Sindh, Balochistan, NWFP, Punjab and Islamabad will take part. Vice President of Pakistan Baseball Federation, Javed Yousuf announced this in a press release issued on Thursday. The four-day tournament will conclude on the April 25th.

Fareeduddin of Punjab Baseball Association was named as coordinator of the tournament while responsibility of special training of players before tournament and holding of umpiring seminars were given to Sindh Baseball association.

International player Shabbir Ahmed will be the secretary and Naushad Ahmed Khan will be the organiser of these events.—PPI
