KARACHI, April 12: The Sindh government is considering creating additional slots for more than 100 dental surgeons in health care facilities located in densely populated areas of Karachi so that free of cost dental care facilities could be provided to the masses at their doorstep. Dr Ghulam Hussain Shaikh, Director Dental Health Services – Sindh, presiding over a meeting of dental surgeons in Karachi, said the government was keen to ensure adequate employment opportunities for qualified dental professionals.

“People must be made to realize that besides its aesthetic values teeth are also major sources of maintaining health,” Dr Shaikh said.

He also underlined the need for providing equipment of dental surgery to enhance their working.

The meeting participants complained that the required dental surgery equipment were not provided to the dental

clinics functioning under the CDGK that gravely affected
