MIRPURKHAS, April 11: Sindh People’s Party Parliamentarians president Syed Qaim Ali Shah has held the Muttahida Qaumi Movement responsible for division of Hyderabad. He added that the Sindh chief minister had left for London to seek support for his coalition government. Speaking at a public meeting in the Khararo Syed village near Umerkot here on Sunday, he said lawlessness had prevailed in Sindh and no one was ready to redress grievances of people.
He said unemployment had increased in the country, especially in Sindh.
He said the government claimed to have $12 billion foreign reserves but the amount was not being utilized for betterment of the masses.
He dispelled the impression that Asif Ali Zardari would be the next prime minister.
He said a warm welcome would be accorded to Mr Zardari on his arrival in Lahore on April 16. He asked workers to reach Lahore.
The PPP leader said his party did not believe in deal with the government.
He accused the government of trying to launch anti-Sindh water projects but, he said, people would oppose any controversial project.
Party MNAs Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani and Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur, former provincial minister Mir Munawar Talpur, Syed Ali Mardan Shah and others also spoke on the occasion.
SSC EXAMS: A vigilance team of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mirpurkhas, paid a surprise visit to an SSC examination centre at the Government Girls’ High School, Degan Bhurgari, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, on Monday.
The team found that two outsiders, Munera and Rukhsana, were helping students in the examinations but it did not take any action against them.
BISE chairman Anwar Ahmad Zai said he would order an inquiry into the matter and take action against the head of the team if found guilty.
