PESHAWAR, April 9: Provincial Health Minister Inayatullah Khan has said that work on category ‘A’ District Headquarters Hospital in Nowshera will be started soon. The project would cost Rs900 million, he added.

This he said while speaking at separate public gatherings held at Azakhel Payan and Pirpae in Nowshera to mark the start of development projects in the area. Two roads, one each in Azakhel Payan and Pirpae, would be completed at a cost of Rs2.7 million.

The minister said that the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal had been successful in blocking the way of secularism and obscenity in the country. He urged people to support the MMA’s efforts for safeguarding Islamic values and ideological entity of the country.

Referring to uplift activities in Nowshera, he said that tender for initiating civil work on the district headquarters hospital had already been floated and added that Satellite Hospital Pubbi would be elevated to category ‘C’ next year.

“Equipment worth millions have already been sanctioned for the Pubbi hospital,” he said.

Mr Khan directed the works and service department to ensure quality in the construction work.
