ISLAMABAD, April 7: The Higher Education Commission is offering 15 fellowships for Advance Diploma Programme in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Aga Khan University, Centre of English Language for the academic year 2005- 06. This is a one academic year programme of three terms that focuses on professional development of English teachers in higher education.

The participants will also benefit from an ongoing English Language Development Course to enhance their academic skills.

The fellowships cover tuition fee and include a partial residence allowance for outstation applicants only.

However, for female outstation applicants, accommodation subject to availability will be provided on the varsity campus.

English language teachers serving in public sector universities and degree awarding institutions and colleges with a minimum of two years experience at the time of application are eligible to apply.—APP
