NEW DELHI, April 1: Pakistan Muslim League president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that being a big country India must show large-heartedness to find out solution of issues, including that of Kashmir. Speaking at an interactive session on Thursday at the Observer Research Foundation, an Indian think tank, the PML chief said restoration of peace and an end to human rights violations in Indian Held Kashmir were of immense importance for taking the peace process forward.

“We have to see how peace can prevail and human rights violations are stopped in Kashmir,” he said, adding that both countries are nuclear powers and should forget their past bitterness to take the peace process forward. Chaudhry Shujaat said both countries should look forward and improve their bilateral relations.

“Pakistan-India problems cannot be resolved merely by sitting across the table,” he said. He called for taking unpopular decisions, away from the conventional track. He said the two countries should resolve their issues bilaterally, without requiring help from world powers.—APP
