KARACHI, April 1: A five-member delegation of foreign scientists from various Universities of the Commonwealth countries visited the Department of Chemistry, Karachi University on Friday.

The Chairman Department of Chemistry, Prof Dr Iftikhar Imam Naqvi, welcomed the guests and showed them different laboratories and sections of the department.

The visitors encouraged work on joint research between KU and the Commonwealth universities, and appreciated quality and standards of technical

facilities and efforts of the teaching faculty towards modernizing theoretical as well as practical facilities for the students.

They admired the efforts of Dr I. I. Naqvi for organizing Golden Jubilee programmes scheduled in May.—PPI
