Earlier, Senior Presiding Officer Muslim Pervez said that the parks developed by the city government were a historical gift to the citizens of Karachi. He said that now it was the responsibility of area residents to take care of these parks through their own administrative bodies.

He suggested that the area people should set up their own administrative committee to manage the affairs of the new park.
