HQM merges into Millat Party

ABBOTTABAD, May 30: The Hazara Qaumi Mahaz (HQM) was merged into Pakistan Millat Party here on Thursday.

Announcing the decision, Alhaj Sardar Moazzam, chairman of the HQM said the decision was taken at the general body meetings of central and district.

The decision came was announced at a joint press conference attended by the central leaders of Pakistan Millat Party and Hazara Qaumi Mahaz (Pakistan).

The Millat Party was represented by Mohammad Ali Durrani, Afzal Hayat and Tariq Hamayun, while from the HQM its chairman Sardar Moazzam, Naheed Abbasi and Qazi Azhar were present. A large number of district and divisional office bearers of the HQM and workers also attended the press conference.

Naheed Abbasi, secretary general of the HQM said that the HQM was formed in 1987 to protect the rights of people of Hazara. In 1993 the party was registered with Election Commission.
