KARACHI: Wage commission

Published March 24, 2005

KARACHI, March 23: Habib Bank Workers Front (HBWF) on Wednesday demanded of the bank administration to insure implementation of Wage Commission Award so that employees could complete their due tenure till the age of 60.

This was declared in an emergency meeting of workers held here at the central union office to discuss the problems of bank employees.

A resolution was also adopted that demanded of the administration to withdraw those policies, which had created a sense of deprivation among employees.

It asked the administration to immediately restore the retirement facilities of executive and officer-cadre employees, besides healthcare and other benefits. It also denounced the replacement of bank security officials with private security guards.—PPI
