All-Pakistan soccer

KARACHI, March 22 All-Pakistan Gul-i-Ishtiaq football tournament will be held from Wednesday at Hazara Stadium Shah Faisal Colony.

A festival match between Pakistan Navy and Hazara Muhammadan will mark the start of the tournament.

The tournament will be played in two stages. In first stage 48 teams from Karachi Division will take part while 16 teams from all over Pakistan will participate in the second leg.

The winner of first stage will get Rs15,000 and a trophy and the runners-up will receive a trophy and Rs10,000. The best player will be given Rs5,000.

The winner and runners-up team of final round will get richer with Rs50,000 and Rs30,000 respectively while the player of final leg will be awarded Rs10,000.—PPI
