KARACHI, March 18: Persistent drizzle in Lahore prevented any play on the second day of the Patron’s Trophy final between PIA and Habib Bank at the Qadhafi Stadium on Friday. Umpires Salim Badar and Asad Rauf gave up hopes of any resumption shortly after the scheduled lunch interval ended.

So far, there has been just 94 minutes of play in this five-day final. Habib Bank scored 104 for two on the first day with acting skipper Imran Farhat (60) and Farhan Adil (16) at the crease.

With further interventions from the weather likely in the remaining three days, the chance of an outright result is fast fading. The final was originally scheduled to be played in Karachi, but it was shifted to Lahore by the PCB for technical reasons.
