KARACHI, March 13: Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Babar Khan Ghauri visited families of the victims of Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Moawin.

The minister’s visit was on behalf of the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. He assured them of all support on behalf of the government.

Mr Ghauri offered “Fateha” for the victims of that tragic fire incident on-board and stayed with their families for some time.

Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Asad Qureshi and Director General Ports and Shipping Captain Anwar Shah were also present.

The minister praised the courage shown by the families during the time of intense sorrow.

He also commended the role of Pakistan Navy in providing succour to the affected families speedily and said Pakistan Navy was well integrated like a family in every difficult hour.

Mr Ghauri observed with appreciation that the Navy was providing all facilities, cooperation and support to the families of the victims, which was explicitly mentioned to him by their families.—APP
