Sohaib guides HEC to victory

LAHORE, March 11: Five wickets by Mohammad Sohaib helped Higher Education Commission (HEC) beat Pakistan Education Board (PEB) by 108 runs in the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II fixture at the LCCA Ground on Friday. Set 258, PEB were all out for 149 in the second innings to concede a big defeat.

At Railways Stadium the match between Servis Industries and Railways ended in draw.

HEC 1st innings 334 for all, 84.2 overs (Atif Ijaz 150, Salman Rahat 88; Asif Raza 4-91) 2nd innings 169 for three wickets declared.

PEB 1st innings 248 for nine, 90 overs (Asif Raza 63; Salman 5- 66) and 2nd innings: 149 all out, 39.5 overs (Waqarul Haq 44, Mohammad Shoaib 5-57).
