Afghan envoy inquires about Wali

PESHAWAR, March 10: Consul-General of Afghanistan Abdul Khaliq Farahi inquired about the health of veteran Awami National Party (ANP) leader Khan Abdul Wali Khan on Thursday.

The Afghan diplomate visited the residence of Wali Khan?s daughter in Hayatabad and inquired about the health of the nationalist leader.

During the visit, the Afghan diplomat also handed over a letter sent by Afghan President Hamid Karzai, inquiring about the health of Mr Wali Khan, to his family.

Those present on the occasion, included President of ANP Asfandyar Wali Khan, provincial president of ANP, Begum Nasim Wali Khan, Afrasiab Khattak, Ghulam Bilour, Haji Adeel and Mian Iftikhar.

The Afghan Consul-General was accompanied by consulate staff.

He remained there for some time and prayed for early recovery of the veteran politician.
