PESHAWAR, March 8: Awami National Party provincial president Begum Nasim Wali Khan on Tuesday appointed seven office-bearers for posts in the party's provincial chapter which had fallen vacant because of resignation.

According to a press release issued from Bacha Khan Markaz, the party's headquarters, former member of the national assembly Arbab Mohammed Zahir Khan has been appointed senior-vice president.

The office fell vacant after Syed Aaqil Shah's resignation from the post due to his differences with Farid Toofan, the provincial general secretary, who has been removed from his office.

Wakeel Zaman Khattak has been appointed information secretary in place of Mian Iftikhar who resigned during the current crisis.

Syed Rafaqat Shah Bacha and Ashraf Khan of Shabqadar have been appointed joint secretaries, filling two out of all four offices of joint secretaries which fell vacant after office-bearers resigned against Toofan's 'rude attitude'.
