Former woman MNA held

KARACHI, March 7: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Sindh, on Monday arrested Begum Salma Ahmed, ex-MNA and chairperson of the Pakistan Association of Women Enterprises (PAWE), on charges of corruption and misuse of about Rs13.3 million funds.

The NAB took action under Section 9A (III) of the NAB Ordinance 1999, it was officially stated here. The Export Promotion Bureau had given her Rs13.3 million to establish a fashion design technology centre, but she used funds for other commercial purposes. -APP
