DADU, March 7: Responding to a call of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, a shutter-down strike was observed in Sann and students of schools took out a rally on Monday.

The students and activists of JSQM and JSMM demanded registration of an FIR against SP investigation Fareed Jan Sarhandi and other officers allegedly involved in torturing JSMM vice chairman, Samiullah Kalhoro. The activists also staged a demonstration in Mehar.

NAWABSHAH: Members of the JSSF took out a procession at the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology here on Monday to protest against the death of Kalhoro due to alleged torture in police custody.

The procession started from the hostel and terminated at the central canteen at the campus. On the occasion, Jeay Sindh Students' Federation leader Lala Riaz called on the university students to wear black armbands as a sign of mourning till March 10 when a strike is expected in Sindh on the call of the JSMM.
