VCOAS visits LoC

RAWALPINDI, Feb 22: Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) Gen Ahsan Saleem Hyat visited various areas along the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir.

According to a press release issued here by the ISPR on arrival in the forward area, the VCOAS was given a detailed briefing on various aspects of the formation, particularly on the effects of recent snowfall/rains by General Officer Commanding Maj-Gen Khalid Nawaz.

He was also apprised about the relief operations undertaken by Pakistan Army to help the needy people affected by unprecedented snowfall and disruption of communication infrastructure in the areas.

While addressing the troops, the VCOAS commended the resilience and spirit of all ranks. He urged them to remain vigilant despite the weather/terrain hazards and put in deliberate efforts to ensure maintenance and preservation of the equipment.

He appreciated their dedication and selflessness with which the units conducted relief operations to rescue stranded civilians to safer places. He expressed his complete satisfaction on the operational preparedness of the formation and measures being adopted to enhance it.
