PHF to start National League

LAHORE, Feb 18: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has decided to start National League, president Tariq Kirmani said after presiding over Council meeting on Friday.

Mr Kirmani said that the league would be started after finalising a comprehensive programme. He said that it was also decided in the Council meeting to form a sub-committee to facilitate the selection committee in different matters of selecting all kind of teams including senior, junior and Under-17.

The sub-committee will give information about the probables to the selectors, he said and added a member from each province would be included in the sub-committee.

He said that the match fee of the players would also be increased. However, he said exact figure of the fee would be decided later. He said that Council would be taken into confidence in all decisions and action would be taken to activate the district bodies.
