KARACHI, Feb 17: Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim removed the minister for revenue and political affairs, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, said an official handout issued on Thursday night.
The handout, approved by the governor and issued by the Chief Minster's House, said Dr Rahim took immediate action after receiving complaints of corruption, mismanagement and land grabbing against the minister.
Mr Shaikh, who is secretary-general of the Sindh chapter of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League, was also accused of making frequent transfers and postings of officials and tarnishing the image of the revenue department.
