ISLAMABAD, Feb 16: The government has placed before the Senate record pertaining to allotment of 502 plots to bureaucrats under a discretionary quota in Federal Government Employees Housing Scheme (Phase-I) in October 1988.

The record placed before the upper house by the minister for housing and works showed that plots worth millions of rupees were allotted to bureaucrats at prices ranging from Rs37,420 to a maximum of Rs150,000 in sectors I-8/2, I-8/3, I-8/4, G-11/1 and G-11/2.

Of the total 502 plots allotted in 1988, the bureaucrats got 42 plots in I-8/2, 151 in I-8/3, 130 in I-8/4, 52 in G-11/1 and 127 in G-11/2. Senior officials to whom plots were allotted in different sectors at a cost of Rs150,000 with their designations at that time include the following:
