Malaysian PM due today

ISLAMABAD, Feb 14: The prime minister of Malaysia, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, will pay an official visit to Pakistan from Feb 15 to 18 to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues.

He will be accompanied by seven Cabinet ministers, senior officials, a strong business delegation and representatives of media. During his stay Mr Badawi will meet Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and call on President Pervez Musharraf. Gen Musharraf and Mr Aziz will host a luncheon and a banquet respectively in honour of the Malaysian prime minister.

The visit will cover fresh grounds in promoting economic and trade partnership between the two countries. The Malaysian ministers will also hold bilateral meetings with their Pakistani counterparts. Mr Badawi will also address a luncheon meeting which will be attended by the Malaysian and Pakistani businessmen. -APP
