ISLAMABAD, Feb 14: Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro has said Pakistan and Sri Lanka enjoy excellent relations and both the countries are cooperating with each other on the forums of Saarc and the Commonwealth.

He was talking to the speaker of the Sri Lankan parliament, W. J. M. Lokubandara, who called on him here on Monday. During the meeting, matters relating to bilateral relations and promotion of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries came under discussion.

Mr Soomro stressed the need for promoting trade activities and exchanges of delegations of parliamentarians, tourists and students to further strengthen friendly ties between the two countries.
