KHAIRPUR, Feb 14: Processions were taken out by farmers in Hingorja, Sobhodero and Thari Mirwah towns on Monday in protest against alleged sale of fertilizer on the black market.

The farmers said that dealers were involved in black marketing of all kinds of fertilizer in the district. They said the head of the agriculture department and the district adminis0tration had been informed but in vain.

They said wheat crop was being affected due to black marketing as it needed fertilizers. They warned that if immediate action was not taken against dealers they would resort to the district level protest.

Meanwhile, office-bearers of the Jagurta Forum held a 'motorcycle rally' on Monday in protest against SSGC authorities for not improving the Sui gas pressure. They complained to the SSGC officials that they were using wood, coal and cylinder gas due to load-shedding and low pressure of the Sui gas for the three months.
